Stefanos Gravalos is a PhD Candidate at the BioNMR Group of the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Patras, Greece. His object of research involves structure determination and biophysical characterization of metalloproteins (heme-proteins etc.) with significant biological function. Mr. Gravalos is οoccupied with polypeptide production (expression and purification/isolation) using a variety of chromatography methods (column chromatography, size exclusion chromatography in HPLC/FPLC systems etc.) and labeling methods. Candidate is familiar with physicochemical and biophysical characterization of polypeptides through UV-Visible, Fluorescence, CD, NMR spectroscopy and SEC-MALS. He also has expertise in kinetic studies of protein complexes with other proteins or ligands through ITC.
