Georgia Delegkou is a PhD candidate at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Patras in the field of Molecular and Structural Biology. She graduated from the same Department in 2019. During the last year of her undergraduate studies (2018-2019) she joined the Lab of Biomolecular NMR (Dr. G.A. Spyroulias), where she completed her Bachelor’s thesis. She worked on viral polypeptides in the field of Molecular Biology and Analysis of biomolecules through Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (ΝΜR). During her Master’s thesis (2019-2021), she focused on the E3 ligase Arkadia and the mechanism behind its biological role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Currently, she studies Arkadia’s substrates in the TGF-β pathway in order to identify domains and components that are pivotal in these enzymatic cascade reactions.
