• 18th EuroQSAR - East NMR Post Symposium Meeting
  • This NMR-oriented satellite meeting was jointly organized with the 18th European QSAR meeting (19th -24th) September 2010, Rhodes, Greece.

The event was held in the framework of the EU FP7 project (Project website: www.east-nmr.eu), under the auspices of University of Patras (UPAT), that is the Greek partner, in the EAST-NMR Consortium.

The NMR meeting started after the closing of the main 18th EURO QSAR meeting, the afternoon of Friday, the 24th, and it continued next day (Saturday, 25th of September).
  • The meeting intended to present the experimental tools and the opportunities provided by NMR today to the medicinal chemistry and biological community, such as the opportunity to chemists/biochemists and biologists to exploit this European program, for accessing European Large Scale Infrastructures.
  • Additionally, in this meeting, practically the 1st National Greek NMR Meeting,  the Greek NMR groups had the opportunity to present their activities in the field of Protein expression & labeling for NMR studies, NMR of peptides and proteins, drug design, metabonomics, NMR-based food analysis, etc.
  • The roadmap of the BioNMR community in Greece, as resulted by this meeting, is shown below.

  • The topics of the meeting, focused on:
    • NMR in Structure and Systems Biology & Drug Design
    • NMR-driven modeling of biomolecular complexes
    • NMR and metabonomics
